Right next to I-90 in southeast Montana between Billings and Bozeman is the Greycliff Prairie Dog Town. It’s literally just a minute from the freeway. In this 98 acre park, you can see a large number of prairie dogs. And you can hear them! When there isn’t traffic buzzing by on the freeway, listen quietly to hear all the call that they make. It’s great fun to stand there for a bit and watch and listen. Binoculars will be helpful in looking all over the town….

Our Visit to Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument
Sue, having a degree in history, loves to go to places where history was made. And she’s always wanted to visit Little Bighorn Battlefield. She likes to tromp around the battlefields because, she says, it’s all about the geography. And it’s’ true. There are things you can see and understand about what happened when you visit different parts of the battlefield that you can’t comprehend if you read from a book or even if you just drive by in a car….
Rosebud Battlefield State Park
Rosebud Battlefield State Park is located in southern Montana, about 45 minutes north of Sheridan, Wyoming, just off of State Highway 314. Like all the state parks in Montana, there is a small fee required to visit, unless you get the annual pass for Montana State Parks. Note that there is no visitors center here….
